Who are the writers?
My coaching clients range from first time writers, to high school students, to professionals, to retirees. I help them productively engage in the writing process while providing them with specific, customized content to improve their writing. My clients have included:
How it works:
We meet for 30 minutes for free to determine if what I provide is what you need. I will evaluate your strengths and determine what your writing needs to be more effective, more what you want it to be. If you like what I do, we will meet face to face, on line, on Skype or on the phone to work on the writing project that is your current concern. I will coach you every step of the way to ensure that my suggestions are useful and that you know how to use them.
I do not require that you commit for a set number of coaching sessions. I will provide regular feedback on your progress and next steps. I charge $80 for a one hour session.
Workshops:
For teachers, I provide workshops on the teaching of writing, creating writing centers, training students to be effective writing tutors, and on models for writing programs. For writers, I teach workshops on writing your life story, preparing essays for college and scholarship applications, and using a writing coach effectively. I work in some one-to-one coaching with every workshop.
I also teach "Writing Your Life Story" workshops for a variety of audiences. In them we focus on how to get the story recorded and how to make it interesting and readable to your audience.
